FOR PRESS — STORY SUMMARY
The Pitch in Plain English
MARK! The Herald Angel is a Christmas novelette about a small angelic newspaper reporter named Mark who is assigned to cover the birth of Christ for the Eternal Herald — Paradise City's journal of record. It's inspired by the carol "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," and the title is the pun the author is most proud of.
Mark is a seasoned reporter. He's confident, a little self-important, and entirely unprepared for what he's about to witness. The story follows him from the bustling newsroom of Paradise City to the dusty, motionless world of first-century Bethlehem — where he gets the story of a lifetime, and discovers something he didn't know he was looking for.
The book exists in three formats: a novelette for middle readers and adults, a picture storybook for young children, and a free 12-day Advent devotional for families. Together they form a complete Advent package that a church can adopt across age groups.
ANIMATION NOTE — SIGNATURE CINEMATIC IMAGE
When angels are present on Earth in the story, time appears frozen to them. People, animals, and every living thing appear utterly motionless — while the angels move freely and unnoticed through the paused world. It's the story's most cinematic image, and the visual anchor for the animation adaptation currently in development.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Glenn Fletcher

Glenn Fletcher was part of the writing and development team for the five-time Emmy Award–winning animated series Auto-B-Good. He brings decades of experience across youth ministry, family ministry, Christian retail, and entertainment — and he built MARK! The Herald Angel at the intersection of all of them.
Glenn lives in Lawrence, Kansas with his wife Amy and their four children. He publishes under his imprint Abracadaver Press, and he describes his brand voice as "fair dinkum" — warm, witty, authentic, and more interested in a good story than a good pitch.
He is available for interviews, podcast appearances, and church speaking engagements during the Advent season. He will not use the word "synergy."

QUICK ANSWERS
Press FAQs
How do I get a review copy?
Use the form above and select your audience type. Glenn sends PDFs within one business day. Print copies available on request.
Is Glenn available for interviews?
Yes — phone, email, and video. He's especially good on the ministry-to-entertainment crossover, what Advent programming looks like from the inside of a church, and the creative process behind giving the Christmas story a fresh perspective without losing its weight. Reach him at media@marktheherald.com.
What's the animation adaptation story?
An animated short based on the novelette is in early development. Given Glenn's background on Auto-B-Good and the story's inherently cinematic structure — particularly the frozen-world image of angels moving freely through a motionless Bethlehem — this is a natural next step. More details available for press on request.
Can churches use the devotional freely?
Yes. The 12-day Advent devotional is free, no strings attached, and churches are welcome to print and distribute it to their congregations.
What's the publication information?
Published by Abracadaver Press. Available on Amazon, MarkTheHerald.com, and via church direct orders. ISBNs available in the media kit fact sheet.
