Why I Wrote It
I wrote the novelette for families and adults who love Christmas but wanted something fresh. But from the moment readers started sharing it, parents kept asking: 'Is there a version my kindergartner can hold?' This storybook is that answer. I wanted little ones to meet Mark — to see themselves in him — a small, eager, slightly nervous somebody trusted with something enormous. That's a message every child needs to hear.

Glenn Fletcher is a Christian author and ministry leader best known for the Christmas novelette MARK! The Herald Angel. He was part of the writing and development team for the 5-time Emmy Award-winning Auto-B-Good animated series and brings decades of youth and family ministry experience to his work. From the beginning, I've imagined him on screen — that tiny angel on a crowded express bus in Paradise City, his press badge bouncing, his purple bowtie swirling. I'm actively pursuing an animated short film adaptation and would love to see Mark come to life for a whole new audience. Stay tuned.
